32 years ago, the first door factory was established in Bolszewo near Wejherowo. In 1992, a team of several people began producing the first door leaves.
The following years saw extremely dynamic development of the company. The construction of specialised plants in Ełk, Suwałki and Romania, up to the opening of the modern PORTA STEEL machine park.
We know the importance of durability, good design and a positive feeling from the daily use of our products. The doors we buy accompany us for many years and we touch them several times a day.
For this reason, we have ensured that the finish and construction of all our doors are highly resistant to impacts, abrasion and scratches, even under intensive use.

The position of President of PORTA KMI POLAND is taken over by Łukasz Luto, replacing the brand’s founder, Jacek Sarnowski, in this position.
Since the beginning of his career he has been connected with the production environment, coordinating, among other things, the opening of the new PORTA STEEL factory in Ełk. He is a graduate of Wood Technology at the Poznań University of Life Sciences, Postgraduate Studies in Economic and Commercial Law at the University of Wrocław and Executive MBA at the Poznań University of Economics.
Experienced operations director with a history of working in modern factories. Specialist in operations management, quality management, continuous improvement and production planning. Graduated in management and engineering from the Gdansk University of Technology and the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
He has been with the company since 2006. Through his vision and determination over the years, he has initiated changes to support the company’s growth and expansion from marketing director level. Previously, he was managing director of the ITV advertising agency. He holds a degree in philosophy and sociology from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
Finance Director with extensive professional experience in FMCG and automotive companies. She has successfully implemented numerous projects aimed at increasing company value, including an M&A project. In her role, she adeptly combines fostering business growth and supporting it with risk management. A graduate of Poznań University of Economics with postgraduate studies in management and HR. Since 2014, she has been a member of the ACCA association, holding the FCCA title.

Our history dates back to 1992, when we opened our first production plant in Bolszewo
near Wejherowo, where our head office is still located today. Since then, we have been committed to systematic development,
as evidenced, among other things, by our financial results showing the good condition of the company – in 2016 our sales
exceeded PLN 314 million. We currently employ over 1,800 people and have five factories.
Our latest investment is the PORTA STEEL production plant in Ełk, for the construction of which we have earmarked PLN 70 million for its construction.
